Connected Community reflects a vision of people coming together from a place of greater awareness. Each person remains an individual — carrying a unique story, perspective, and expression — while recognizing that life is also experienced within relationship to others.
At the heart of the artwork is connection. The heart represents our capacity for compassion, empathy, understanding, and unconditional love. Consciousness represents the awareness that allows us to see beyond separation and recognize the deeper relationships that exist between individuals, families, communities, humanity, and the living Earth.
An enlightened community, within the spiritual language of this creation, is not one in which everyone thinks or lives in the same way. It is a community in which individual differences can exist within a greater field of respect and belonging. As awareness expands, connection becomes less about agreement and more about recognizing the inherent value of one another.
